A water main that broke earlier this week in Roseburg did damage to a local resident's home, and he says he shouldn't have to pay the clean up bill.

A situation for one Roseburg police officer could have turned bad after the suspect allegedly pulled out a gun during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon. Officers believe the suspect dropped the gun after running from police.

A cat that died Nov. 7 is the first feline fatality from H1N1 flu, tests have confirmed. The 10-year-old male cat was brought to the Animal Clinic in Lebanon on Nov. 4 with labored breathing. A member of the family had been sick with influenza-like illness a week earlier.
