A Days Creek women has been arrested for allegedly embezzling thousand of dollars from her boss. Douglas County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Cheryl Kluegl, 53, after she admitted to writing checks to herself using her bosses accounts.

A former teacher from the Douglas County, Ore. area was sent to prison recently for having sex with one of his students in Washington state. It turns out that it was not the first time his actions with a minor had been brought into question. KPIC has been investigating if there were holes in the system, or if there were other factors that allowed him to be hired at different schools.

Funeral services were held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds today for Third Class Petty Officer David Mudge of Sutherlin, Ore. Mudge died from an electrical accident while serving on the U.S.S. Rentz, while at port in the United Arab Emirates.
