A giraffe at the Wildlife Safari died over the weekend, and officials say it may be due to trauma. Officials found Kipande (kuh-pawn-dee) dead in the giraffe barn on Sunday morning.

A Winston man has been arrested and charged by police for allegedly molesting a 10-year-old girl. Police were contacted by children's services, who reported an incident involving the girl and Jameson Matthew Barr, 26.

A 50-year-old woman was trapped in a pickup Thursday morning, after it rolled down an embankment. She was extricated and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Wildlife Safari was packed this weekend, all for the love of one type of animal. The park held it's third annual 'Giraffe Jam' on Saturday, and hundreds of people packed the park, all to pay tribute to the long-neck animal.

The Winston-Dillard Fire Department has had to lay off three people due to a loss in revenues. Two firefighters and a paramedic found out Monday that they no longer had a job with the department.
